Vitamins in foods and supplements - analytical challenges in human nutrition

Welcome to Copenhagen for the next International Vitamin Conference in May 2012.

We will make a great effort to create a program that will provide you new knowledge on vitamins, but also rewarding discussions and experiences. And of course we also look forward to meeting new colleagues working on vitamins.

The idea of setting up this series of conferences is to establish a forum for scientist and regulators for whom the vitamins are of major concern.

The focus of the conference will be the 13 vitamins from food and supplements, the content, their activity, biomarkers, and optimal dietary intake.

Topics
The scientific programme includes lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions. The preliminary program include sessions on:

- The triage theory
- Folate - a holistic view
- Biosynthesis of vitamins - technical and economic issues
- Promising biomarkers for vitamin status
- Analytical quality
- Optimal diet: Beneficial intake of vitamins and food

Important Deadlines

* Deadline for submission of abstracts: 9 January 2012
