Dear colleagues and friends,

The II World Congress of Public Health Nutrition and I Latinamerican Congress of Community Nutrition will be held in Porto, Portugal, September 23-25, 2010.
We are following the routes of Barcelona 2006 where the I World Congress of Public Health Nutrition gathered more than 1500 public health nutrition related professionals and researchers.

We aim the II World Congress of Public Health Nutrition to be the forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent advances in human nutrition and its intimate relationships to health and wellbeing of the world populations.

The scientific program is being prepared by the leading world specialists in PHN. Each session will be organized in order to capture the variety of viewpoints in food and nutrition from both worldwide and local perspectives.

Porto is one of the oldest cities in Europe. It was founded in the Middle Ages and developed along the right bank of the Douro River, which Port Wine contributed to make famous. Porto receives many eminent guests every year and has a rich cultural heritage. From all the typical features we would like to emphasize our famous gastronomy. Porto's old charming streets are a striking picture of architectural harmony and urban planning, well deserving UNESCO's world Heritage status since 1996.
