Eventos | 19 de mayo de 2010
19-21 Mayo 2010 / 1st International Vitamin Conference // Copenhagen, Denmark
Vitamins in foods and supplements
- analytical possibilities versus nutritional need in human research, food databases, and labelling.
The idea of setting up this conference is to establish a forum for scientists and regulators for whom the vitamins are of major concern. Although we can't give the impression that a new vitamin will be launched we will promise to make a great effort to reveal new information on the vitamins.
The conference will focus on vitamins in foods and supplements in regard to human nutrition research, establishing food composition data and controlling food labelling.
Topics: the scientific programme includes lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions. The focus of the conference will be on the following topics:
-how do results of analytical methods influence food composition data
-how to assess the relative bioactivity of vitamers in foods
-do the analytical results reflect the contribution to vitamin status from foods
-advantages and disadvantages of the analytical methods used in human research, nutrient profiling, checking labels and fortification levels
Online submission of abstracts: 1 November 2009
Registration: 1 March 2010
Organisation: the conference is arranged by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in cooperation with Øresund Food Network.
